The Naughty Needlers look forward to hosting the 19th Annual Naughty Needlers Fall Knitters’ Fair on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 from 9:30 – 1:30 P.M. at the Weymouth Senior Center; 182 Green Street, North Weymouth, MA.

Start your holiday shopping early with an abundant selection of handmade knit and crochet items such as hats, sweaters, crib afghans for babies, sweaters and mittens for children and adults and lap robes for veterans and residents of nursing homes.

The knitting and crocheting group was started by the late Evie Fowler with Weymouth Elder Services in 2001. The knitters who range in age from 62-97 mostly reside in Weymouth, but some do come from Hingham, Braintree, Marshfield, and Hanover.

In addition to the great knitted and crocheted items, you’ll find great bargains on our slightly used but fashionable jewelry. Generous donations of jewelry have been pouring in daily over the past month, making this a big year for the jewelry portion of the fair. Because the jewelry is donated, prices are cheap, ranging from 3$ – $10 per piece. Items available this year are necklaces, bracelets, rings, pins and brooches, watches, and jewelry boxes.

These women generously donate all the proceeds from this event to the senior center, but during the year, our knitters donate much of their handiwork to several charities, including the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center in Weymouth, South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Boston City Hospital, Adult Day Health in Weymouth, the Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Boston, the Wounded Warrior Project, Weymouth Youth and Family Services and residential programs for homeless women.
